Whippet
The Whippet has a short sleek coat that needs minimal grooming, with regular nail clipping, teeth cleaning and the odd bath. Dogs Australia says it can live in houses, townhouses and apartments, and gravitates towards children with supervision for young ones. It needs about 40 minutes of exercise a day.
